Nintendo trademarks Last Window (Hotel Dusk 2) in Europe

Cing’s sequel to Hotel Dusk is destined for a PAL release, a recent trademark shows. This may cause one to believe Last Window could eventually find its way to North America and we’d certainly entertain the notion — at least it should be importable.
Admittedly, Nintendo actively promoted Cing’s first game and a lot of DS enthusiasts in the U.S. seemed to enjoy it, so we can see it happening. But without so much as a mention during the recent Nintendo Media Summit, we’re not gonna hold our breath just yet. Let’s at least agree to wait until E3, OK?

- Reel Fishing Challenge (WiiWare, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)
- Dracula: Undead Awakening (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)

Mario, Metroid, Sin and Punishment, more dated in Europe
Here’s some great news for those of you in Europe interested in playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Sin and Punishment: Star Successor. Nintendo announced that Galaxy will be available in Europe on June 11, not long after America’s May 23 date. And Sin and Punishment will be out in Europe (under the slightly altered title Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies) on May 7, exactly one month before North America gets its hands on that Treasure.
The bad news is that Metroid: Other M is dated simply “Q3.” It’s due June 27 in North America. We’ve collected all the European release dates for Wii and DS (including a “summer” date for Dragon Quest IX!) after the break.

European Nintendo downloads: Monkey Island, Phoenix Wright, Flips
The WiiWare and DSiWare releases in Europe are startlingly uniform this week. All three WiiWare releases cost 1,000 Wii Points each, and all four DSiWare games cost 500 points. Well, we say games, but really we mean three games and an interactive book thing.
Terror in Cubicle Four is actually a downloadable e-book — a first — pulled from one of EA’s Europe-exclusive cartridges. It is, however, a children’s book about “something strange going on with the loo in cubicle four of the girl’s toilet.” If you’d rather read about something else, there’s always Phoenix Wright.
- Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
- Brain Cadets (WiiWare, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points)
- Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5 (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
- Downtown Texas Hold’em (DSiWare, 1-4 players, 500 DSi Points)
- Flight Control (DSiWare, 1-2 players, 500 DSi Points)
- Flips Terror in Cubicle Four (DSiWare, 1 player, DSi Points)
- Puzzle to Go Wildlife (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth out in Europe next week
By now, European Wii owners probably feel like they’ve been waiting for Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth since the actual 16-bit generation. We’re happy to report that, according to the Nintendo Channel, the WiiWare reimagining of the Game Boy’s Castlevania: The Adventure will be released in Europe next Friday, February 26.
As always, it’s a rare treat to know ahead of time when a WiiWare game’s coming out — especially when it’s a game someone out there may actually be interested in buying. Everyone, buy the Rebirth games so we can get a Parodius or Mystical Ninja Rebirth!

Fragile Dreams gets a sturdy March 19 release in Europe
By way of Eurogamer, we know exactly when in Q1 Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon will release: March 19. The game will be published across the old world via Rising Star Games. Our own time spent with the title was pretty favorable, as we enjoyed its unique approach to the genre and ability to make us feel isolated, much like protagonist Seto.
For the unaware, Fragile Dreams takes place in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, where survivors are few. Seto, now alone after his mentor’s passing, must go out into the world and brave the ghosts and remnants of humanity’s past that litter the landscape.
In an effort to pencil in a US release date, we pinged XSEED — who could only say that it would arrive sometime in March. We’ll let you know the date as soon as it’s announced!

European Nintendo downloads: Sonic & Knuckles, Frogger Returns, Overturn
It’s a return of two classic mascots on the Wii this week, sort of. A good Sonic the Hedgehog game — and, in fact, one that is kind of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 — is up on the Virtual Console, with Lock-On tech intact; and Konami’s Frogger is doing what he does best (almost dying in traffic). And also there’s a game about robots shooting each other, but that doesn’t really fit into the theme.
- Sonic & Knuckles (Mega Drive, 1 player, 800 Wii Points)
- Frogger Returns (WiiWare, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points)
- Overturn: Mecha Wars (WiiWare, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
- Electroplankton: Rec-Rec (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points)
- Electroplankton: Lumiloop (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points)
- Sudoku 4Pockets (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)
- Let’s Golf (DSiWare, 1-2 players, 800 DSi Points)

Okamiden trademarked in Europe
Though we’re confident Capcom wouldn’t leave Okamiden, the DS followup to the critically acclaimed Okami, in Japan, it’s nice to have some supporting evidence. Siliconera spotted a trademark for Okamiden on the European trademark database, suggesting that Capcom plans to publish it in Europe. And if Capcom Europe is picking it up, it’s a sure enough bet that Capcom USA will as well. We look forward to playing it for more than a few minutes!
We’re going to celebrate the impending localization by first asking Capcom about it, and then staring dreamily at the character art of Chibiterasu. So cute.

No More Heroes 2 touches down in Europe in April
Europe has been waiting patiently for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle — except, of course, for those within Europe who imported it and had to wait only for shipping from the US. Rising Star Games has finally announced a release window for Grasshopper Manufacture’s mass-assassination adventure: the end of April.
No coin fountains this time for the European market, either. Unlike the first game, the European release of No More Heroes 2 will be completely uncensored. In fact, Rising Star was careful to point out in the press release that the game contains “red blood. Lots and lots of red blood.”

European Nintendo downloads: Excitebike World Challenge, Final Fight 3
Excitebike World Rally, having just been released in Japan this week, is now available in Europe, ready to delight players with online, tilt-controlled classic motorcycle racing. Final Fight 3 is also out in Europe this week, with classic dude-punching. We’re starting to wonder — is the worldwide Virtual Console release of Final Fight 3 some kind of abstract promotion for Super Street Fighter IV, which features characters and locales that originated in the Final Fight series? Or is it the Wii’s equivalent of Final Fight Double Impact?
- Final Fight 3 (Virtual Console: SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
- “Aha! I Found It!” Hidden Object Game (WiiWare, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points)
- Excitebike World Challenge (WiiWare, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points)
- Snakenoid (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)
