Thinking about wading through the herd-like masses on the day after Thanksgiving?  Well, if you’re looking for something in the handheld department, then there are two new Nintendo DSi bundles that you might want to check out.

Starting on November 27, you can buy either a Metallic Blue or White DSi that comes pre-installed with more than $20 worth of DSiWare games and applications.  Interestingly enough, each color comes with a different software setup.

The limited-edition Metallic Blue DSi bundle features a Mario-themed package with five games and applications including: Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Minis March Again, Dr. Mario Express, WarioWare Snapped!, Mario Calculator and Mario Clock.

The limited-edition White DSi bundle features a brain-improving package and includes the following games and applications: Brain Age Express: Arts and Letters, Brain Age Express: Sudoku, Brain Age Express: Math, Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics, and Photo Clock.

No specific pricing has been announced by Nintendo, though the company states that “bundles are priced for the holidays.”  The bundles will be available while supplies last at participating locations.

92e5f_gradius0703 VC/WiiWare Friday: Happy Hanabi FestivalNintendo of Europe’s Hanabi Festival returns, bringing with it, of course, import games! Fantastic stuff is available this week on Virtual Console: Pulseman, a Mega Man-style platformer from a pre-Pokemon Game Freak, and Ogre Battle, the legendary strategy title from Yasumi Matsuno’s Quest.

This week’s awesomeness extends to WiiWare, with both Bplus’s Bit Boy!!, the maze action game that shuffles between various levels of retro, and Gradius Rebirth, which settles at the 16-bit era. And on DSiWare, the Mario calculator and clock apps arrive. Roll your eyes all you want, but they’re surprisingly delightful. Details after the break.

Nintendo also announced Hanabi Festival titles you can expect in following weeks: Bomberman ‘94, Kirby’s Dream Land 3, Zoda’s Revenge: StarTropics II, MUSHA, Detana!! Twinbee, and the NES Smash Table Tennis!

NintendoWare Weekly: Let’s Catch some Towering Toast

a52fe_eduardo0615 NintendoWare Weekly: Lets Catch some Towering ToastIt’s an uncharacteristically packed week for WiiWare. Three games are out at once, and we’ve actually heard of all three. We feel like we’re living in Japan! Nintendo didn’t skimp on the Virtual Console either, with a new, exciting Virtual Console Arcade title — well, new in the Virtual Console sense. It’s still old.

DSiWare also gets … well, it’s another set of clock and calculator apps. But they’re exceptionally cute apps with Mario in them! That’s still kind of worthwhile in our opinion. Maybe we just like making Mario coin sounds a little too much. Check after the break for the list of new downloads!
