New trailers, screens for Hotel Dusk’s sequel, Last Window

There’s a bounty of new media from CING’s Hotel Dusk sequel, Last Window, to check out. Screens and a pair of new trailers await anxious looky-loos and should provide Hotel Dusk fans with a comfortable familiarity — Last Window pretty much looks like a Hotel Dusk sequel.
You can peep the two trailers over at Nintendo of Japan’s site, while you’ll have to hit up Game Watch for the new screens. Just remember to pace yourself. We wouldn’t want you overdoing it like the dude above this chunk of text.

DSi XL FAQ: Sized up
Early yesterday, Nintendo of Japan announced the DSi XL (DSi LL in Japan), a larger, larger-screened version of the DSi. It’s a big system, and kind of a big mystery, given that the only advance notice we had of the thing was a Nikkei blurb two days prior. While we can’t answer the big questions, like how long this idea has been in the works, and whether a bigger handheld is a good idea as an alternative to the DS’s continual miniaturization, we can round up what we know and can reasonably speculate about the DSi XL — right after the jump.

An epic amount of Epic Mickey media
Game Informer’s slow trickle of Epic Mickey deets has turned into a full-on firehose today, as the site has published a massive five-page feature on the game’s environments, concept art and character animations. The feature not only talks about the developmental process for animators and designers at Junction Point Studios, but also delves into the game’s world a bit, showing off screens of the cartoon objects and inert objects populating the land. The former are things the player can create and erase in the game, whereas the latter are permanent objects in the game world that the player cannot affect.
There’s even some really odd stuff to look at — like a robotic Donald Duck and a video of Mickey Mouse shadowboxing. Looks like we can cross one item off our list of Sentences We Never Would’ve Imagined Ever Having to Write.
