Japanese Nintendo downloads: Sutte Hakkun, Aqualiving, Hidden 3D Shapes
This week’s sole Virtual Console release in Japan marks the debut of a beloved DS developer. The Super Famicom puzzle game Sutte Hakkun, originally created for Nintendo’s Satellaview satellite service, is the first game by Indies Zero, who would go on to develop Retro Game Challenge for Namco Bandai. The game itself is a cutesy Lode Runner-type puzzler, in which a character creates and destroys blocks to reach rainbow fragments distributed throughout a level.
On DSiWare, another interesting puzzle game is available: Rittai Kakushi E Atta Kore Da, the game that uses the camera for that eye-catching 3D effect.
- Sutte Hakkun (Super Famicom, 1 player, 800 Wii Points)
- Aqualiving (WiiWare, 1 player, 800 Wii Points)
- Shunkan Shibu-shibu Tsubushi (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points)
- Karakuchi! Ookago Shiro (DSiWare, 1-2 players, 500 DSi Points)
- Kittens’ House (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)
- Rittai Kakushi E Atta Kore Da (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

WiiWare Mega Man 10 gets DLC Bass character on April 5; additional DLC detailed
Even though Mega Man 10 includes a playable version of Mega Man 9’s Proto Man at no additional cost, Capcom will still offer at least one additional character as premium DLC. Bass, a sort of evil Mega Man character introduced in Mega Man 7 and playable in Mega Man & Bass, will be released as a DLC character for the Wii version of Mega Man 10 on April 5 for 200 Wii Points ($2), according to Nintendo’s Mega Man 10 page. A special stage will be available the same day for 300 Points.
An “Endless Attack Mode” will follow for 300 points on April 26, along with two more special stages for 100 Points each. These DLC dates are likely to be different for the other versions of Mega Man 10, if the add-on content is planned for all releases, since the release dates for the actual game are different on other platforms. We’re contacted Capcom to verify.

Mega64 explains the appeal and letdown of Sonic … the restaurant
If you were to ask us what to expect from most fast food joints, we’d probably tell you to look inside your garbage can and basically expect that — but, y’know, inside of your stomach. We don’t know; it’s all the same pre-processed, assembly line garbage to us and we manage to successfully avoid it for the most part. But the Mega64 dudes instead find themselves in an almost perpetual, Groundhog Day-like loop when it comes to one particular establishment: Sonic.
Even though each trip usually makes the guys wish they never went in the first place, the thought of returning oddly enough fills them with hope that things will be different each and every time, only to suffer the grim realization again. It’s such a departure for Mega64, but we can’t help but feel like there’s some kind of correlation to a current gaming news item in here — so we thought we’d post this to see what you all think they’re talking about. While we think on it, head past the break and check out the video.

WiiWare game can turn your TV into an aquarium
Andriasang.com has pointed out a new Japanese WiiWare title that turns your television into a glorified aquarium. Fortunately, it’s more than just a screensaver (it had better be for 800 Wii Points) and includes a number of different features. Entitled Aqua Living: The Fish You Can Watch On your TV (no, really), the game allows players to create an aquarium using different themes, layouts and fish. Once the aquarium is set up, players can change the viewing angle or have the camera follow a certain fish. Players can also dive into the aquarium as their Miis, allowing them to directly feed the fish and explore the tank.
The game also includes a fish guide, which includes information on each species. Of course, all we want to know is if there are any fish with human faces in there. Follow this link to see the game in motion.

WiiWare screens and trailers from Nintendo Media Summit
Nintendo had a few awesome new WiiWare announcements at its Nintendo Media Summit, most notably, Cave Story! Most notably in the field of games we didn’t know about, new Art Style games! The series hasn’t been on Wii since the DSi came out, but now we’ve got Light Trax (a Wii version of the original bit Generations game Dotstream) and Rotozoa (a game about multi-tentacled organisms absorbing creatures of the same color) to look forward to this spring.
Check out the trailer for Light Trax above, and see a trailer for Rotozoa, as well as screens of Max and the Magic Marker, WiiWare’s WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase, Rage of the Gladiator, And Yet It Moves, Super Meat Boy, and Cave Story after the break. Oh, man, Cave Story!
